Types of Possessive Suffixes
In Arabic, possession is conveyed by attaching special suffixes to the noun. That means that, unlike English, the words “mine”, “yours”, “his”, “hers”, etc. are not words in themselves, but rather suffixes added directly to the word.
Today we will get familiar with these suffixes and how to use them. By knowing these suffixes, you’ll be able to distinguish “mine” from “yours”. Don’t worry if you don’t quite understand it yet – it will make sense once you see some examples!
